Sustainable Development policy: Eye on Earth meeting 12-15 December

The Eye on Earth Summit was held in Abu Dhabi 12-15 December 2011.  Lots of high profile participants and a focus on access, needs and gaps in information for environment and sustainable development, looking for discussion and commitment at the Rio+20 meeting. News microsite on SciDev.net. UNEP was a key stakeholder and, as a footnote, launched a Carbon Calculator App that links habitat types and sequestration with carbon emission of paricular activities.
