Science Policy UK: limits on international Academic Staff

In short, the UK government is planning to cap the number of migrants in Tiers 1 and 2 of the points-based immigration system from April 2011, with a temporary cap from July 2010.

The temporary cap is already creating difficulties for incoming Marie Curie Fellows from countries such as Turkey.

There is a current consultation with further information available on the UK Border Agency Website.
