Science Policy UK - Guidelines on the use of science advice in policy

The Government Office for Science has published new "Guidelines on the use of scientific and engineering advice in policy making".These Guidelines update previous versions from 1997 and 2005 and give a pretty thorough coverage of the use of scientific expertise in making policy.  There are also a set of principles that inform how advice is given on scientific issues - this is more a set of points that relate to how advisory committees function..
