New guidelines on internships in museums are available from the UK Museums Association, adding to Arts Council guidance and those from NCVO.

Museum policy UK: renaissance funding programme and reviews.
The Arts Council of England (ACE) took over umbrellla responsibility for English non-national museums on the abolition of the Museums, Archives and Libraries Council. ACE has published Culture, knowledge and understanding: great museums and libraries for everyone (a companion document to their arts strategy) also asks for consultation views. Also of interest is A Review of Research and Literature on Museums and Libraries - supporting development of the strategy. New Renaissance funding also announced.
Museums UK: Minister announces possible move of MLA resposibilities to Arts Council
Ed Vaizey, minister with resposibility for museums in DCMS, has announced that the responsibilties of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council (soon to be abolished) could be transferred to the Arts Council. Will be interesting to think about how this might impact on natural history and science in museums, and the policy emphasis of central support for regional museums.
